JENNIFER REYNOLDS

"We're a voice of advocacy for the economic empowerment of women."

Women make 80% of consumer purchasing decisions and control close to 40% of investible assets. But if you walk into the boardrooms of the most powerful companies, women are absent or, at best, present in small numbers.
For Jennifer Reynolds, it's a grave imbalance and disservice to the smart, driven women in corporate Canada.
Through Women in Capital Markets — Canada's largest professional association for women in the financial industry — Jennifer and her team are advocating for change. Offering 60 programs a year in everything from executive coaching to student outreach, she is determined to push an agenda that moves women into leadership roles. According to 2011 figures, women represent 23% of the industry, but only 10% are at the managing director level. In corporate Canada's FP 500-boardrooms, a mere 5% of CEOs and 17% of directors are women. Jennifer wants to change that.
"The goal of my job is to work myself right out of a job. I'd be happy if I were successful in that."
