LAURA HAMBLEY LOVETT, PH.D, R. PSYCH.

"A job doesn’t feel like work when you're doing something you love."

"There's a different energy when you’re happy at work," says Dr. Laura Hambley Lovett.
Not surprisingly, helping people find satisfying careers is exactly what her team at Canada Career Counselling love doing themselves. People at every stage — from students needing direction, to women returning from maternity leave and employees planning retirement transitions — discover the satisfaction that the right career can bring.
"People spend so much time at work," explains Dr. Laura, a career-and-leadership psychologist and founder of this successful assessment-and-guidance business. "When your work experience is fun, exciting and rewarding, it can truly bring fulfillment to your life."
Dr. Laura also co-founded The Leadership Store, an Alberta-based one-stop-shop for leadership services. "We truly understand the DNA of leadership," she explains. "With assessment, training and coaching, we help make better workplaces by developing better bosses."
What she loves doing extends to the community, too. Dr. Laura volunteers with the Psychologically Healthy Workplace initiative, mentors university students and offers career support to those in need.
